Our SDR technology supports IEEE 802.16s, the new worldwide standard for private licensed wide area industrial networks. Our radios enable wide-area intelligent networks (WANs) for smart grids, smart pipes, smart fields and any other mission critical network that needs internet protocol connectivity.

Ondas’ customers use our SDR technology to deploy their own, point-to-multipoint, private licensed broadband wireless networks. This includes Utilities, Oil & Gas, Transportation and Government entities. We also offer mission-critical entities the option of a managed network service.

Mission critical applications have extremely demanding requirements which include the highest levels of network availability, reliability and security. This is in contrast to the oversubscribed LTE 4G / 5G / WiFi based consumer wireless networks, provided by cellular operators, which fall dramatically short of MC-IoT network demands.

Our IEEE 802.16s compliant equipment optimizes performance across a wide range for spectrum from 70 MHz up to 6 GHz. Ondas’ MC-IoT networks are substantially less expensive to build and operate in comparison to LTE 4G / 5G networks due to the lower cost of radio spectrum and a much wider coverage with a 30+ mile radius from a tower.
